CALL FOR PAPERS: (POST)INDUSTRIAL SPACES

Serdecznie zapraszamy do nadsyłania artykułów do numeru specjalnego Studiów Humanistycznych AGH poświęconego społecznym przestrzeniom (post)industrialnym.
Termin do 15 lipca 2014. Teksty w języku polskim lub angielskim.
The Editorial Board of „Studia Humanistyczne AGH” warmly welcomes scholarly contributions from all interested in transition from industrial to (post)industrial societies. The transitionis related to the variety of social phenomena such as: increasing economical and social potential/influence of post-material production (knowledge, technology, skills and symbols), new consumption patterns and practices or individual self-realization, which are all related or take place in space. A space is a medium and a product of the change on the level of social practices, social and individual experiences and different discourses. Contemporary, industrial  spaces are being abandoned, re-adapted and re-invented by so-called creative destruction – the very processes depict transformations of cultures and are their products. In comparison, (post) industrial spaces are abandoned are re-colonized by the nature, but metaphorically (post) industrial spaces may be understood as disappearing life-styles and communities, elided everyday experiences or rearranged identities which occasionally are being interpreted as resistant against modernization and innovation.
Potential topics of the Issue:

• Transformations of urban, country-side and transit spaces, grass-roots and political space transformations planning,

• Transformations of spaces of social relations, work practices, and private and public lives – diffusion of work and private spheres, new housing practices, new
community living and new ideologies related to these spaces,

• Transformations of cultural spaces – symbolization, interpretation and assessment of technological, economical and social processes related to the (post)industrial,

• Research perspectives, including action research and participatory research, in (post)industrial researches, including deindustrialization processes.
